When to use it

Use it when preparing quotes, checking invoices or working out the price before VAT from a VAT-inclusive total.

Examples

• 1,000 SAR net + 15% VAT = 1,150 SAR.
• A 2,300 SAR VAT-inclusive price is 2,000 SAR net plus 300 SAR VAT.

Common mistakes

• Removing VAT by subtracting 15% of the total; divide by 1.15 instead.
• Charging VAT on zero-rated or exempt supplies.
