Compress Image to 100KB

When to use it

Use it when a form or portal insists on images under 100 KB, typically profile photos, ID photos and most online application forms. The tool searches for the highest JPG quality that fits the limit and only reduces the pixel size if quality alone is not enough.

Examples

• A multi-megabyte phone photo is brought under 100 KB in a few seconds, keeping as much detail as the limit allows.
• Several images can be dropped at once and downloaded together as a ZIP.
• Need a different limit? Change the target size box to any number of kilobytes.

Common mistakes

• Compressing a PNG with a transparent background to JPG; transparent areas become white.
• Starting from an image that has already been compressed several times; begin with the original for the best result.
• Expecting text in screenshots to stay sharp at very small sizes; crop to the important area first.
