When to use it

Use it when a website, exam portal or government form sets a maximum file size. Enter the limit in kilobytes and the tool finds the best quality that fits. Popular limits: 20 KB, 50 KB, 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB.

Examples

• A 3 MB photo to under 100 KB for an online application.
• A batch of product photos to under 200 KB each, downloaded as one ZIP.

Common mistakes

• Setting the limit in MB instead of KB; 1 MB is 1024 KB.
• Using WebP for portals that only accept JPG; keep JPG unless WebP is allowed.

Your files are processed by your own browser and are never uploaded to a server. Close the tab and they are gone.
